Palm Guardian Corps

Become a Palm Guardian

Earn a verified monthly income protecting ancestral Palmyra groves — the trees your village has depended on for generations, cared for by the people who live alongside them.

The guardian model

Paid to protect what your village already knows how to keep alive

A guardian isn't a volunteer role dressed up with a title. It's a livelihood, built around work that villages here have always done — watching over trees, knowing which ones are struggling, showing up when it matters.

Every tree we plant is paired with a named guardian — someone local, someone who will still be checking on that grove in five years, not just for the first season after planting. That continuity is the entire point: a tree adopted by a donor hundreds of kilometres away only survives if someone nearby is actually watching it grow.

The work is straightforward and physical — walking the grove, checking for damage or drought stress, watering where needed, and keeping a monthly photo record that proves the tree is alive and the care happened. What makes it a livelihood rather than a favour is that it's paid, on a schedule, against verified reports — not goodwill.

Guardians grow into the role. Someone who starts logging events as a Sapling Volunteer can move up to caring for a full grove as a Palm Guardian, then leading a cluster of guardians as a Grove Captain, and eventually overseeing an entire district's plantings as a Regional Steward. Each tier below carries more responsibility, and more pay.

The process

How it becomes a monthly paycheck

Five steps from application to your first verified payment.

01

Apply

Tell us your district and which guardian tier interests you. We review applications on a rolling basis and get back to you directly — no portal, no waiting on a queue.

02

Training

A short orientation on tree care, the monthly reporting routine, and how photo verification works. Local, practical, and paid time — not a certificate course.

03

Adopt a grove

You're paired with a named grove of Palmyra and other native trees in your own village or district. The grove stays yours to care for, month after month.

04

Monthly verified reports

Each month you photograph and log the condition of every tree in your grove — growth, damage, watering, anything unusual. GPS-tagged, so the record is honest by construction.

05

Get paid

Verified reports are what trigger payment. No report, no ambiguity about what happened — guardians are paid for care that's actually documented, on the schedule for their tier.
